Park and Papa

A couple of Fridays ago, my friend Sarah and her little girl Addison met up with us to visit the infamous Safari Park. No big recap this time but I will give a warning out - don't visit the walk thru part where the turtles are. They came towards us HISSING and as we retreated with scared toddlers, the MONKEY that was being kept in a pen of chicken wire, CHARGED us and slammed up against his wall. We screamed, possibly MAY have let out an expletive or two, grabbed our firstborn, and hightailed it to the car both laughing and freaking out all at once.

As far as the drive thru part goes, the camel was a no-show. I guarantee you an unfortunate incident occurred with that one as he would put his entire head inside the cars - no boundaries there at all. And poor Addison was more than a little terrified at times - she is only 20 months and those big animals sticking their snouts and beaks up against the window pane was definitely intimidating.

Here is a sweet pic that Sarah took on our way to lunch after we vowed to never return to the Safari Park.

Wy remembered that there were railroad tracks coming up and that it was very bumpy so he wanted to hold Addison's hand so "she won't be scared." And they say chivalry is dead.

After lunch, we went to my parents house to visit with them as they had just returned from a week long vacation. Papa went out to work in his flower beds and Wyatt tagged along.

I thought they looked too cute in their matching shirts and hats.
